102304-1 leaves 18 inches deep!

102304-2 East Meets West. The glorious spill of Autumns leaves and Woodys Aloha shirt. This was taken on a property that we looked at in Madison near Mansfield. Very rundown and wasnt an option but I took some great shots here...

102304-3 the"Stream House" as Woody and I look at properties we give them nick names. The home we have now was the "Pretty House" or the "Frilly House" as it was a bit over the top in cuteness. This one was named for the description of the stream running throught the proerty. The house was a bit care worn and the old man had used his lot as a toxic waste dump so we passed on it

102304-4 the Fields of Gold. a farm in Ashland County Ohio

102104-1 Backyard Splendor. The forested garden of a home that we looked at in Mansfield

102104-4 Autumn Treasures. this was a lovely home. For privacy sake I took no photos of the interior of the home. It was a 4 bd 2bth 2300sqft with full finished basement on 2 lovely acres of forest land in Mansfield town. Beautifully decorated. Asking 149K and was very willing to negotiate. Friends that is one good reason to go there we can afford to live. I am praying fervantly for jobs at this point.

Week Two... Learning the Trade...

101804-1 the classroom at the Drouhard National Jewelers School

101904-1 Taking a break. Tim Drouhard heard me tell a tale of woe about missing Mak and Nani so we went to the house and brought his darling sweet baby, Itty-Bitty-Pumpkin-Kitty, for me to have "pet therapy" It worked.

101904-3 Bench Still life

101904-2 My ring... I worked really hard on this ring to get it really right. one of the things I came to realize at about this point in the class was that I wasnt going to be able to just get all of the stuff and just do this repair thing. I really need to work along side someone for a bit to really get to where I can do this well.

101804-2 Tightening prongs at the bench

101904-4 another view of the bench

101604-6 Buggy Parking at Yoders Amish Heritage Resturant, Berlin, Holmes County Ohio

101604-7 Always room for one more buggy! We really enjoyed meeting and dining with the Amish at this local spot. Mostly Seniors out for "visitation" with neighbors that were not well . Food was very good at this resturant. Due to the number of Amish diners I didnt take pictures of the interior of the resturant as they dont wish to be photographed as a rule.

101604-8 Amish Quilt used as a wall hanging at the Yoder's Amish Heritage resturant in Belin, Ohio

101604-9 Close up of the quilt. This was all hand peiced and beautifully stiched up. A masterpeice and labor of love.

101504-10 A Tumbling Skye... This is the back 40 of the farm that was used to build the resturant and funiture factory we visited. Just to the right and out of view was a small homested that was occupied. the blocks came from an old building and were used as decorative features around the building to create planters and such.

101404-3 Peaceful Pastures Mount Vernon Ohio
This is a vacant lot next door to the Friendlys in Mt Vernon about 30 miles from the school. We estimate that we put 2500 miles on the car in the 17 days we were there.
